Will Oinn, oboe; Yshani Perinpanayagam, piano - 3pm, Sunday 23rd January 2011

Will Oinn began learning the oboe when he was nine. From the age of fifteen he studied with Nicholas Daniel. In 2005 he was awarded a Foundation Scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music, and a subsequent award has enabled him to continue his studies at the RCM.

He is currently principal oboe of the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra, and has also appeared with orchestras such as the European Union Youth Orchestra, Nederlands Jugend Orkest and Symphony Orchestra of India.

Will Oinn is generously supported by the Countess of Munster Trust and the Craxton Memorial Trust, as well as by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

He will be accompanied by Yshani Perinpanayagam, who was scholar at the RCM. She went on to do a Masters at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and last year won the Yamaha Birmingham Accompanist of the Year Award.
