We look forward to welcoming three very talented young musicians, two of them local, for this varied programme of music for two and three performers.
Horn player Alec Frank-Gemmill played as Principal Horn in the European Union Youth Orchestra in 2008, and in 2009 was appointed Principal Horn in the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. He has played concertos by Strauss and Mozart with the Sevenoaks Symphony Orchestra, and is currently supported by an award from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
Violinist Florence Cooke, is also well known locally and the recipient of numerous awards, including in 2007-8 one from the Razumovsky Trust. As well as broadcasting on Radio 3 she has given recitals in London and at many festivals around the world.
Florence has a regular duo partnership with pianist Daniel Tong, who among other things is artistic director of the Wye Valley Chamber Music Festival. Daniel is a frequent broadcaster and gives concerts at the Wigmore Hall and abroad with his own group, the London Bridge Ensemble.
